Logout Preferences

If you use Microsoft^(R) Internet Explorer to view your mail, you can set a Logout preference to install Browser Cache Management, which improves performance and security for your IBM^(R) Lotus^(R) iNotes^TM sessions.

The Browser Cache Management feature must be enabled by your administrator, who may have already installed it for you.

1. Click Preferences, and then click Logout.
2. Check the status message at the top of the preference to determine if Browser Cache Management is installed:
• If it is installed, the Install button is not available. Click Save and Close to save any other preferences you have set, or Cancel to close preferences.
• If is not installed, click Install. As prompted, close any open windows and log in again for Browser Cache Management to take effect.

Browser Cache Management provides security by controlling which URLs are stored in the cache when the Lotus iNotes session ends.

To uninstall Browser Cache Management, open these preferences and click Uninstall.
