Mail Signature Preferences

Create a personal signature that you add to the bottom of outgoing mail messages automatically or on a per message basis. If you have set up a signature to use with the IBM(R) Lotus(R) Notes(R) client, you can use that for Lotus iNotesTM as well.

  1. Click Preferences.
  2. Expand Mail, and then click Signature.
  3. Create plain and rich text signatures as desired. Note that ultra-light mode uses plain text only, so you must create a plain text signature if you want to include a signature in that mode.
  4. Check Append a signature to the bottom of your outgoing mail messages to add a signature to all messages.
  5. Select which type of signature to use automatically. (Ultra-light mode appends a plain text signature regardless of this setting.)
  6. (Optional) Include a Web link in your signature.
  7. (Optional) To include an e-mail address, type your e-mail address using the format for e-mail addresses (johnd@acme.com). The e-mail address text becomes a link when you add the signature.
  8. Click Save & Close.
