Mail Signature Preferences
Create a personal signature that you add to the bottom of outgoing mail messages automatically or on a per message basis. If you have set up a signature to use with the IBM(R) Lotus(R) Notes(R) client, you can use that for Lotus iNotesTM as well.
- Click Preferences.
- Expand Mail, and then click Signature.
- Create plain and rich text signatures as desired. Note that ultra-light mode uses plain text only, so you must create a plain text signature if you want to include a signature in that mode.
- Check Append a signature to the bottom of your outgoing mail messages to add a signature to all messages.
- Select which type of signature to use automatically. (Ultra-light mode appends a plain text signature regardless of this setting.)
- (Optional) Include a Web link in your signature.
- (Optional) To include an e-mail address, type your e-mail address using the format for e-mail addresses (johnd@acme.com). The e-mail address text becomes a link when you add the signature.
- Click Save & Close.
Details About Signature Preferences
- If you add your signature automatically, you can still format or delete it before you send the message.
- You must be in the Notes client to make any changes to your Notes signature.
- This type of signature is not a digital signature, which is used for security.
