Mark a Message for Follow Up


You can mark a mail message with an icon to indicate that the message requires follow-up action. Flagged messages are added to the Follow Up view.

You can set follow-up defaults. Defaults are used for Quick Follow Up and can be overridden for any single message you flag.

  1. From the Inbox or a folder, select an existing message or create a new one to mark for follow up.
  2. Click the arrow next to the follow up button yellow follow up flag and then choose one:
  3. Indicate the priority of the follow up action by selecting one of the following:
  4. Icon
    Priority
    flag with exclamation mark for urgent priority
    Urgent
    green flag for normal priority
    Normal
    white flag for low priority
    Low
  5. Specify the action you need to take (displays in your copy of the message only).
  6. (Optional) Enter a date and time for the action (required if you want to set an alarm).
  7. (Optional) Check Alarm and then specify when the alarm should go off.
  8. Click OK.

Remove the follow up flag from a message

Removing the flag from a message also removes the message from the Follow Up view.

  1. From the Inbox or a folder, select the message.
  2. Click the arrow next to the follow up button yellow follow up flag and then select Remove Flag.
