Uninstall Lotus iNotes from Windows


Uninstalling IBM(R) Lotus(R) iNotesTM is a three-step process.

Step 1

Delete the upload control in your browser's object cache:

  1. Open your Microsoft(R) Internet Explorer browser.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  3. On the General tab under Temporary Internet Files, click Settings.
  4. Click View Objects.
  5. Right click on the file "IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5 Control," and from the context menu, select Remove. If you used Lotus iNotes to go offline, then right click on the file "LotusDRSControl Class," and from the context menu, select Remove.
  6. Close the Object Window, click OK, then click OK again.

Step 2

Remove the temporary Lotus iNotes files from your browser's cache:

  1. Open your Internet Explorer browser.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  3. Under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete files.
  4. Click OK.

Step 3

Uninstall the Lotus Domino(R) Offline Services (DOLS) client software, also known as the "Lotus Domino Sync Manager." This step is necessary only if you went offline with Lotus iNotes.

From the Windows Start menu, select Programs > Lotus Domino Sync Manager > Uninstall.

Caution Do not select "Lotus Notes" as this will remove IBM Lotus Notes(R) from your PC.
