Using Lotus Quickr in Lotus iNotes


You can use IBM(R) Lotus(R) QuickrTM links and places when creating mail and saving attachments. This feature is available only when working online. If you are working on a local offline copy or an archive copy of your mail file, it is not available.

You must set Lotus Quickr user preferences in Lotus iNotesTM to be able to use Lotus Quickr places.

You can perform any of the tasks using Lotus Quickr links and places.

Steps
View a link in a message
Click Summary or Download to view or download a document.
Insert a link in a message
  1. From a message you are composing, click the insert Lotus Quickr links icon. Lotus Quickr icon to insert links
  2. Select one or more documents.
  3. Click Add as Links.
Save an attachment to a Lotus Quickr place or folder
  1. Select an attachment.
  2. Click the save to a place icon. Lotus Quickr icon to save to a place
  3. Select a place or a folder in Lotus Quickr places, and then click OK.

Note If you have not downloaded the Lotus iNotes Control, or if you are using a Safari browser, you may have text prompts instead of icons.

Save an attachment to a Lotus Quickr place and replace the attachment with a link
  1. Follow steps 1 - 3 in the procedure above to save an attachment.
  2. Select Replace attachments as links.

Note This feature must be enabled by your administrator. Lotus iNotes does not support Lotus Quickr connectors preferences and place settings. To use those place settings in Lotus iNotes, you must configure them using Lotus iNotes preferences.
